Hi all. Firstly, to answer everything in the forum title: I am in Australia, I play acoustic, electric, ukulele, mandolin/mandola, and balalaika. I'm not at any top level with any of them... I'm mainly a songwriter, so I use different instruments for different music, or to break a rut. I like rock, metal, classical, folk music, blues... the stuff I play/write is basically a mishmash of these things (yes, the neighbours have noticed me).
Now that the formalities are over, I will declare my intentions! My main reason for joining up is because I ''invented'' a tuning for guitar (DADGBbd), and can't find anything online about it. Not even a snazzy name for it. I've been calling it ''D5/G minor tuning'', but surely there's a better name for it than that...? Anyone use this one?
I have many many many questions about guitars, music, etc... my knowledge is scarce, but I will help with whatever advice etc I can. So yeah... hello! :D
