New old guy (is 54 old? Geez, who am I kidding?)

Well, here I go again, starting over with guitar again at 54. Hey everybody here at Guitar Noise, my names Eddie (not Van Halen), I live in SoCal and am starting to learn again. I played a bit when I was in high school but never learned much more than open and barre chords, then life came along and I dropped guitar and never played again untill the bug bit in 2006. I was serious this time and was practicing 2-4 hours a day but then the economy went south and I had to sell all my gear and moved across country. Well recently I bought a Dean Vendetta and a 20 watt amplifier for cheap and I'm back at it again. I'm an old metal head and bought a book/DVD course called Metal Guitar Method and am really enjoying working my way through the lessons.
