Here to introduce myself- this seems like a terrific place!
For the moment I'll abbreviate my story (although it helps understand what I'm trying to do.) Let's just say I'm starting over - coming back to playing after a minor layoff (About 40 years.) The difference is that THIS time I hope to do it right.
If I can pick up where I left off, and develop enough ability, over a year or so, to play some of the jazz forms I've always loved, my goal is to reward myself and buy myself a suitable jazz instrument- hence the name. I'm planning to start again from the VERY beginning, so you'll hear beginner questions from me (in the appropriate forums.)
Anybody have the changes for Ralph Towner's "Icarus"?
Thanks- glad I found you!
Welcome to GN and good luck with your challenge!
I think jazz is more than a bunch of chords and scales. It will not be easy! But here you will find help and lots of information.
Are your already selected your archtop?
Welcome to the forum, it's great that you're back at guitar after a long (enough) time. Enjoy it all, very much, all the best!
Like a bird on the wire,
like a drunk in a midnight choir
I have tried in my way to be free.
Welcome, good to have you here! It might be tough in the beginning but I guess that goes for all things worth doin'. Enjoy!
