Hi,
I'm Trish. I'm learning guitar so I can teach my daughter. If I get good enough, I'd like to play with the "band" at church. (I used to occassionally sing with the band, before my twins!) I listen mostly to Christian Pop/Rock and like the sound of it. (We get K-LOVE here in the Denver area). It would be cool to play some "campfire" songs, and be able to strum alonng with the occasional hymn, too.
Now, to get past small hands and chubby fingers (see my post in the Beginners Q&A) :)
Nice meeting you all. And I must say, of the posts I've read here, everyone seems real friendly and doesn't flame or anything like that. I like that.

Welcome, Trish! :D
There are quite a few of us GN'ers who are learning alongside our kids--in my case, my 12-year-old son and I are both learning guitar, though he won't play with me as often as I'd like.

I've had a lot of sobering thoughts in my time.
It was them that turned me to drink.
