Hey guys,

My name is Mark and I am picking up the guitar for the first time at the age of 43.
I bought a Epiphone PR-4E accoustic/electric about 5 days ago and haven't put it down yet.
I am hooked, though my finger tips think I am utterly nuts. there is no pain right now but a very wierd numb feeling.
Anyway I just wanted to say hi!

Welcome to GN!
don't worry about the fingertips and the weird feeling, just don't over do it and soon you will develop some nice calluses

Heh - just moved from Rhode Island south of the Mason-Dixon, and missing New England! Still working on building callouses here...apparently I know enough chords for some songs, just don't know what to do with them yet. :D
