(That's Cleveland, OH. USA!)
I have been lurking on the board for a while and thought I should introduce myself. I always was intrigued by the thought of playing the guitar and finally, a year and a half ago, took it up at the age of 48! I have been learning to play on my own for about a year. When I finally decided that I was going to stick with it, I bought a new guitar (an Ovation 2007 Collectors Edition) and started taking lessons. It has turned into a great hobby and stress reliever from work.
I look forward to participating more in the forums as my skill increases.

Hey Rob, welcome to GN. I used to have an Ovation. Loved that guitar.
Best of luck

Welcome to GN!
#4491....
Welcome aboard! :)
Nice to meet you, Rob! Plenty of us here either took up guitar or started taking it seriously in the mid-to-late 40's....I think guitars are taking over from Porsches/Fast Bikes/(insert other playthings here...) as the new mid-life crisis toy of choice!
Not quite as dangerous though......
Home of Rock'n'Roll? There's a few places might dispute that title.....but like one of my heroes, Ian Hunter, once said, "Cleveland Rocks".....good enough for me!
:D :D :D

Hello from a fellow Buckeye. :D
All my life I wanted to be somebody. Now I see I should have been more specific.
Howdy! Welcome to GN. As Vic said, there's plenty of us here, who are a bit long in the tooth. So you'll fit right in!
I have an Ovation...its about 25 years old. Still love it. Although I've gotten so used to playing my Taylor, when I pick up the Ov, I need to adjust a bit. (Has a thinner neck)
Hope to see you around the forums.
