Hi!

I'm Seth (as you may well have gathered), and I'm a student from the Manchester area of the UK. :) Started playing guitar in December 04 after reading David Hodge's "Absolute Beginner" article, so I bought a basic electric guitar (Peavey Raptor EXP) and some basic learning material (chord book, really cheesey instructional dvd...)

Most of my playing time is devoted to the murdering of rock and metal songs old and new. I play some Green Day, Darkness, Bon Jovi, Rainbow, Jimmy Eat World... loads of stuff and most of it sounds awful. I got dragged into a "band" in about April-ish 05 to play rhythm, though despite my appauling solo skills it's ended up more like lead.

Uh, I think I've probably prattled on enough for one post. :)

Welcome from a fellow Newbie...

I'll only be down there (in the basement practicing) for a couple of minutes or so...

I could've chosen a better colour than red, but the store I bought it from would charge you £2 for a plectrum if they had the chance. Naturally, the black Raptor pack was £40 more expensive than the red one. :(

Hopefully I won't be asking too many stupid questions. :P
