I am suprised, yet extremely happy to find a guitar forum. I should have expected one though seeings how there is a forum for everything. I like this site so far and hope to learn lots. I'm fairly virgin to the guitar. I've been playing for about a month and a half. I borrowed my uncles old Holiday acoustic, and have been trying to figure it out. I've been spending about 3 hours + a day on it, and wish I was coming along quicker. The hardest part of the guitar for me is strumming. I've learned most of the chords already, but I can not seem to get my finger to bar frets, so alot of the chords are inaccesable for me. :( Well I hope to learn lots......

Hey Jimmy, welcome to GN! 8)

It takes awhile for your fingers to do what you want them to on a guitar, but keep working at it & don't give up. It'll come. :D

Welcome!

I'm a fellow newb but not a Michigander though I've dragged plenty of knee there.

How do you know if a drummer is knocking on your door.....

The knocking speeds up.

Welcome to GN. Ya, just keep at it and practice regularly. It'll all come in time.

Where would I post questions about how a song is played at?

If it's from a lesson here, post in the Lesson's forum. First look through the forum to see if the question has already been asked.

If it's from the ESD, you can ask right in the same thread.

If it's just a general question about finger placement, strumming or alike, the beginner's section would do.

Welcome to the madhouse! Good luck with your journey!
