Hi everyone.
I'm new to this site. I originate from Hindley, Nr Wigan in Lancashire, UK and am now living in Powell River, B.C. Canada where I co-host our B&B (nuagesbandb.ca) with Christine.
I began with guitar in the '50's with skiffle, graduated to rythm playing in a dance band from '58 to '60 then played all over the place during RAF National Service. Between then and about 1980 i just messed about.
I then took up Electric Bass playing with Pianist Eric Johnson at the Westhoughton Greyhound Club on Sat and Sun nights for 10 years. I then played for another 10 years or so with the Lazy River Jazz Band (from Billinge).
I subsequently emmigrated to British Columbia where I've played some weeks for 5 different bands. I tend to play a bit less these days and restrict myself to the better class of gig. I have a small collection of guitars and 2 'Bass Collection' Basses. I just got a Gallien Kreuger RB700 amp and would be interested to hear of any member's experiences with same.
