Hey, my name's Cat and I'm a semi-new bassist from England. I spent years dragging myself to classical guitar lessons before my six-string-bass-playing boyfriend unwisely left his bass unattended. I recently bought myself a bass I could actually lift, and am making a concerted effort to understand the music theory which I wept over in school and learn this instrument as opposed to just messing about. So now I play as much as I can in between doing a university degree, catering to the whims of my two cats, doing my two-semester year abroad in Russia and learning to cook.
Style-wise, I love listening to everything from solid, soulful blues to crazy metal techniques, but personally like to play strong, straightforward rock 'n' roll lines with a touch more distortion than is strictly necessary
I'd really like to get to know some new people so feel free to message me. I don't bite, but I might ramble at you...
All my friends are guitarists. There's a bass forum here. Count me in 8)
