Hi,
at the age of (almost) 61 I've decided after decades of envy of accomplished guitarists, what the hell, I'd like to learn the guitar. I realise I've not got the time to become really good, but I'll do what I can.
I bought myself a cheap Strat copy and after about a week, I can do some easy chords but I've got the usual beginner "fat finger" syndrome. I think I'm starting to build calluses, but it would be really encouraging if I knew that other people have overcome this problem.

Im no t An accomplished guitarist by anymeans, but i too felt discouraged by this and similar issues, it all gets better with time, just keep it up.
