I'm a guitar prodigal

Hey, everyone! I joined this forum around 10 years ago when I got my first guitar but didn't post much and haven't been back for a long time. I let my guitar gather dust for the most part over the intervening years, but I've picked it back up recently (actually sold the first one and got a bit better one).

I've only been playing semi-seriously for about 6 months, though, so the playing is pretty rough. But I do love songwriting and singing and can't wait till my guitar skills catch up. I'd written lots of lyrics a decade ago but never finished the melodies, so I'm working on several at one time right now.
