Okay, so I was just sorting through my gear, trying to get as much info on my current rig as possible and keep a file on it, just in case something terrible happens.
I've found the receipts for some of my gear. My cheapo Encore guitar is actually an Encore ELP 50, costing 159 UK pounds, and I got it on the 1st of December 1997. I've had electric guitars for ten years now - I feel old!! Lol, musta got it within a few months of starting to play. I thought it was cheaper than that, though. I must be old, my memory's going.
But, more importantly, my Marshall JTM45 Combo appears to have been a total bargain!!! Woo hoo!!! I recal wanting a Mesa Boogie but not being able to afford it and, having just got into EC Beano-era, I had his amp memorised form the pics on that album, and I'd just bought my Epi LP Std second hand from a mate. I went to the music store with my dad, and they had it! They had the Beano amp! My pops said it looked rather heavy, and I could only get it if I could carry it from one end of the tore to the other. I was fifteen, and desire far outstripped strength, so I picked up this hulking amp and carried it with every ounce of strength and willpower I posessed. Good thing, too. We paid 299 UK pounds back in 2000 and I just google-searched it and Anderton's Music currently advertise the exact same amp. For 799.99 UK pounds. Damn, I got my amp and Epi LP for a total of 499 UK pounds!!!! http://www.andertons.co.uk/acatalog/info_1962.html I now love this amp even more than I did previously (and I never thought that was possible!). And, although Jeff Beck's recent gig used a Marshall JTM45 head and cab, he stole the strat-through-jtm45 idea from me - I've been doing that for years, its my setup, you stealing guitar god, you.
Oh, and my camera is charging (finally managed to fix the dodgy lead), and I'm taking photos for posterity and security, so I might post some a bit later. 8)
Sorry, I just had to post about this, I felt so elated to discvoer the current worth of my amp, and relieved I never sold it (came close, due to its relative weildiness and my relative puniness, but I held out for tone's sake), and I had to share it with people who'd understand.
Congrats Scrybe! And yes, you must post some pics!

uh.............yeah........hmm.......um, Anderton's priceon my amp seems to be the cheapest deal, too. Looky here: http://www.google.co.uk/products?hl=en&q=marshall+1962+bluesbreaker+combo+reissue&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wf prices go up to over 1000 UK pounds. Straight conversion, we're talking >US$2000!
anyone know a decent insurance firm? and where's the cotton wool? there was me thinking, "yeah, it'd be really nice to save up and get a really decent amp...."
and you can bet your life that I'm using this 'saving' as justification for future guitar purchases.
but I genuinely am rather stunned. bloody hell.
photos very soon - gimme an hour or so.
Okay, there's a good chance I've screwed this up, but this link http://s251.photobucket.com/albums/gg301/Scrybe1984/ should take you to a pic of me playing, and from there you can scroll through the shots.
In all, there are shots of a hungover young Scrybe, complete with bad hair day hidden under beanie; my lovely new Ibanez EW20WNE (the guitar I'm playing in the pics); my Epiphone Les Paul; and my beloved Marshall JTM45 combo. 8) And I know I have the thumb-over bad technique thing going on, but I was playing Little Wing, so it was necessary. 'Nuff said.
There should have been more pics of my strat, ovation and others, but the memory card I used for those is being somewhat temperamental, so it might require a reshoot tomorrow.
As for the amp......there is a god. And I strongly suspect he plays guitar.
You did OK, Scrybe. Maybe one day you'll be able to afford a really decent amp.

Thats some nice gear! You should be able to make some nice sounds with that stuff. 8)

Yup, that set-up looks nice. We should be able to hear your from the States.

Well, I do know that cranking the amp to around 5 with guitar on max leaves the double-glazing vibrating quite obviously  and having possibly just started a blues band, there's a very good chance you'll be hearing that rig sometime soon.
Plus, my Blues Jr is due in two weeks or so, and I'll be adding a couple of axes and some pedals to the equation, plus there's my guitars which didn't get posted (I'll sort it out over the weekend). But I'm still stoked about that amp - it has really made my day. 8)
Nice guitar and nice pics !
cheers - there should be some shots of my strat on there now. and another bad hair day scrybe.
