a good friend asked to borrow my electric acoustic guitar. he went to a Dylan tribute last year and everyone had one. the soundman had to mike his regular guitar. he said they all DI'ed into the PA and sounded much better than he did. being a Dylan fan I agreed to lend him my guitar. then thinking about the tribute night, where anyone can register, wait their turn and then perform on stage their best Dylan take....I decided that I want to try that. the show is in a small club near where I live; I could walk there. all these years living here I did not pay heed. so on the 24th, Dylan's B day I am going on stage. yeah.
so now I am toying with the idea of bringing my electric guitar ( no one has yet I've been told). I may ask my friend to yell out Judas! when I plug in. then rip out a loud Dylan version. or I could play an old fav If Not For You and try it on lap steel or maybe just bring the Martin and play a song normal. whatever I decide I like how the idea juices are flowing.
