For those who care..........
We care more than you think
I had an absolute BLAST.
Told you so :D

I guess that rules out the brown bag and or sound hole barfing

I can NOT express in words how much fun I had

All in all, I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mike
Addicting huh....

Nothing (well maybe) like the feeling of performing in front of people no matter how big or small the crowd is. Exhilarating and very rewarding

Can't wait to see the pics :!:

Thank you, Nils!!!

Surprisingly enough, there was NO brown bag needed.

I came to grips in my previous post and they DID NOT fail me!!!!

I came to the conclusion that I am NOT the next greatest thing and that is what carried me through it. It's all about entertainment and that is what we came through with.

The pics aren't the greatest. My wife was taking pics of us (which I told her to) but, she left out the crowd surrounding us.

I make it seem bigger than what it was; there were only 150 to 200 people there.

I told my friend I WANT us to play in an open mic soon........

My friend is truly an incredible musician. I'm just glad he is taking the time to enlighten me to the ways of music!

Tracker

I can't believe I missed this.

Congratulations!

Those are great pics, it's easy to see you were having lots of fun.

This may sound funny, but you are a very nice lookin' fellow!

Your wife better come to all your gigs.

You should be very proud of yourself. You have not been playing very long. It is a little scary to play in front of people that first time. But you will find it gets easy.

It better be. You are addicted now. So you are gonna play in front of people whether it scares you or not. :D

Congrats once again. You've made us all proud!

Wes

Wes,

Thank you for the compliments.

It was a little scary the two days before, but I had a talk with myself and that really calmed my nerves. My friend was even busting on me and when he said let's go, I was ready and waiting.

He couldn't believe himself how well I did, nervousness wise. He has been teaching me here and there so of course he has been complimenting me on my progress. Of course I know the real truth GUITARNOISE!!!

But seriously, I've put in a lot of hard work for a year and a half (well, last 7 months being the most productive. I didn't get much time to practice in the beginning) and felt that I was ready for this.

GN, Kurt (my friend), and my determination have helped me immensely. So thank you GN, GN's article writers, and all the members for being here and helping me!!! I have already thanked my friend to many times to count for giving me the opportunity to play and teach me when we have a shot to get together.

I'm getting all excited again just thinking about it. I really did have a blast.

Again, Thanks Wes!!! It means a lot!!! Thank you!

Sorry for the double post, but does anyone know a place I can up-load a video. My wife took video of Lucky Man on the digital camera I bought her. I would really like to up-load that. It's not he greatest, but when you throw in the fact that it's from a digital camera and about 10 feet away, NOT BAD.....not bad at all!!!

I'll check now on my own, but if you already know a good free one........

Well now, I guess you'll need your own website to post all these pix and video and audio clips...

You have my undivided attention!

I tried to look up my internet service provider, but no luck. They only handle business accounts only.

Do you know of one, which I can do all the things you said?

My brain is killing me searching through google right now.

Thanks for any help.

Mike

Thanks djdubb!

As we speak, I'm trying to find a place I can up-load a video (1 song) so you guys and gals can see it. Looking into my own web site to do this.

EDIT: I just set up an account with Start Logic. Hopefully I'll have something up in less than a week. I have a lot to do this weekend and week so I'm sure any of the extra time I have I will be setting up my new web site.
