R.I.P., Mary Travers

It's the rock that gives the stream its music . . . and the stream that gives the rock its roll.

Here is to you as good as you are
And here is to me as bad as I am
As good as you are and as bad as I am
I'm as good as you are as bad as I am

Sad news indeed!

There's was a true iconic sound of the 60's.

Love "If I Had A Hammer"

Doubly sad because Mary had beaten the "big C" but she was left so weakened by the treatment and then fell prey to another illness.

The guitar is all right John but you'll never make a living out of it! (John Lennon's Aunt Mimi)

Just paying my respects.

And acknowledging that it is so sad.

She contributed so much to music and song of the 60's.

Listening to them gave me my first lessons in harmony.

Falling in love is like learning to play the guitar; first you learn to follow the rules, then you learn to play with your heart.

A dragon lives forever but not so for little girls and boys . . .

. . . And puff that mighty dragon, he ceased his fearless roar.

It's the rock that gives the stream its music . . . and the stream that gives the rock its roll.
