My first solo show for almost six months, playing to the local University of the Third Age for their annual lunch; an audience of 60 people. I got fed too - that doesn't happen every time I play a gig. On the other hand, I was expected to entertain rather than play in the background as previously expected.

A lot of new repertoire in today's show: music by George Harrison, Sting, Elton John and Dilermando Reis was all new; music by Jasper Smith, Bryan Adams, Jennings & Horner, Georges Bizet, and Mason Williams has been played live before.

A few fluffed notes, but nothing too drastic. What did surprise me was that as a result of lunch being served late, I was playing later than billed, and a chunk of my audience had to leave before the end to catch the bus home or get their cars out of the car park before the traffic wardens got them. It's a strange world this gigging lark.

Sounds great, Alan. Which Harrison track(s) did you play? :)

Take care,

Casey

Here Comes The Sun - my own arrangement. It's ideal for a Classical Guitar treatment.
