On June 18th I will be performing at the Tosco Music Party in Charlotte, NC. Over 1,000 tickets have been sold so far, less than 200 left. The event will be held at the Knight Theatre of the Levine Center for the Arts. I am one of 20 artists performing with a Beatles Tribute theme this year. 7pm-11pm If you're in the Charlotte area check it out! thanks

that sounds like a fun gig. what Beatle song(s) have you chosen to play? have you done this size crowd before?

I'm hoping it will be very fun. There will be booths set up before and after the performances where people can come and talk with me and buy my demo. Hopefully some talent scouts as well. I've never played for this size crowd at once before. Closest thing would probably be the years I played at the Bristol Rhythm and Roots Festival. Artists are asked to perform one or two songs by invitation only. The song I was asked to perform is "Something"... here's a link to youtube where I performed it at the Hard Rock Cafe in Time Square with a band I was in from my college. We did the entire album so you'll have to go about 4 min into the video. Enjoy!

You sound really good. I live about 65 miles from Charlotte. I'd love to go, but I doubt it. Good luck.

Thanks a lot Rick, I appreciate you listening. I just had my first practice with the house band at The Evening Muse in Charlotte on Sunday and those guys are really great. Hope you can make it and thanks again.

Awesome man, the whole Noda area in Charlotte is great. Really artsy part of town. Lunchbox Records is right in that area too. Wish you could make, thanks.

UPDATE: The show went great! It sold out 1200 seats and I was able to sell a lot of my demos. I met a lot of other great musicians and fans. Now I've got some more gigs coming my way!

Way to go sounds like a good time. Is the fish taco place still next door?

Thanks I had a really great time. The fish taco place is in that area, but I'm not sure of one next to the theatre. The theatre was on Tryon st. and the restaurant is on N. Davidson, or at least the one I know of. Never been before though, I might have to check it out.

I thought it was right around the corner from the Muse but I haven't been there in awhile so I may be thinking of something else.

Glad the gig went OK.

Ok yeah that's the one I'm thinking of too. The venue your thinking of is probably the Neighborhood Theater. idk, nice area anyways.
