This past Saturday night we (SLIGHTLY OFFENSIVE) played at Jack Desmond's (Chicago Ridge). When I arrived it was EMPTY and I thought ok, here's another gig w/a light crowd but after I loaded all my gear in and setup a bachelorette party came in. :D Cool, things are starting to look better now. One of the girls in the party came up to me and said she wanted a picture w/me...WOW...NICE!!! :D I turned around and Cory was just standing there smiling and said “What? Are you famous or something?” I replied...”I don't know if you know this but...I'm kind of a BIG DEAL”. So while Cory was setting up the PA the bass player, drummer & I found a table in the back and one of the girls from The Tilted Kilt came up to us, “HEY I know you guys!!!” Nice!!! She said she was looking forward to us coming back to the Kilt to play this Friday b/c the last band didn't bring anybody and we always have a crowd!!! Then she offered to buy me a shot of something (I don't remember what she said it was...something w/Peach) WOW...now I have HOT girls coming up to me too. :D I'd like to say this is how it is EVERYTIME I play out but THIS has never happened to me before...but I'm liking it!!! Friday's gig @ The Tilted Kilt hasn't been confirmed yet so we'll see...definitely don't want to disappoint the girls you know!! :D

On Friday night we had the girls up from song #1, they were dancing, singing along. The girls were grabbing Cory's butt, doing shots, the bride had a shirt with lollypops on it that read “S*CK for a Buck”, I think Cory gave her a $1 for a sucker, taking it off w/his teeth. They were REALLY whooping it up & it was contagious to the rest of the crowd!!! While I was playing "Pour Some Sugar on Me" I had one girl standing (weaving) in front of me playing the tambourine to the beat (kinda) & singing along. I looked over my shoulder @ Mike our other guitar player and he was just smiling at me. I was really thinking she was going to face plant on my pedalboard in front of me but she made it all the way through the song (thankfully) and one of her friends escorted her out shortly thereafter. At the peak I think we had probably 100ppl there, you could see them texting their friends and the crowd just kept building. By 1:30am when we stopped there was still 50ppl there (late liquor license obviously). So we had a GREAT TIME playing Friday night. :D

Also on Friday night our drummer said that he was leaving the band to play with another band playing more “Hair Metal” from the 80's so we'll be taking a break now or if we play the Tilted Kilt on Friday (6/17) after that. The part that really s*cks is that we had 3 bars wanting to book us through Sept. :( So maybe we can find a quick replacement or a sub...we'll see. Either way I'll keep you all posted on my whereabouts.

On Saturday (6/25) I'm playing w/my first real “working” band WILDEYE. It's a reunion show, at a campground which are REALLY FUN to play at. :D These crowds LOVE live bands!!! We haven't played out together since 2007 and we've been rehearsing for this gig for a couple months now. We'll be playing most of the old tunes we used to do (Classic Rock, ZZ Top, Cheap Trick, Bob Segar etc). But this is strictly a “one off” gig due to scheduling issues which was the same problem we had back in the day.

Thanks for reading & KEEP ROCKIN' !!!!
