I just heard that Jerry Reed Died of complications from emphysema?

God. I hope not, He's a good,un.....

Best known in the movies as Burt Reynolds pal in Smokey and the Bandit, he was also a MONSTER player!

If true, I'll really miss him.......

When I die, I want to go peacefully in my sleep like my grandfather, not screaming......
like the passengers in his car.

Sad news,

Jerry was briliant on guitar, there's plenty of Youtube video's showing his talent.

RIP Jerry

The guitar is all right John but you'll never make a living out of it! (John Lennon's Aunt Mimi)

What a shame. Sad loss.

A favorite of mine as well. And not to dispute any of this, but the wiki link that gnease posted says that as of today (Sept 2) the rumor of Jerrry's death has not been confirmed.

I posted the link to describe his life, not confirm his death.

Lonnie Mack was reported dead 5 years ago. He's still alive and kicking.

Donna Reed is also dead.Jerry Mathers is not dead.
Jimmy Smits is not dead. nor is Jimmy Dean...well, maybe.
never liked his sauages.

I didn't care for Jerry Reed's movies that much.
but was a talented song writer and guitarist.

JR and Chet are my ideals.

JR - A great person and one of the finest picker on this earth ever.

I think he lived well and has left a lot of his music behind for people to remember him.

My sincere blessing's to Jerry's soul.
