I just heard that Jerry Reed Died of complications from emphysema?
God. I hope not, He's a good,un.....
Best known in the movies as Burt Reynolds pal in Smokey and the Bandit, he was also a MONSTER player!
If true, I'll really miss him.......
When I die, I want to go peacefully in my sleep like my grandfather, not screaming......
like the passengers in his car.
RIP Jerry Reed. I believe it is confirmed. what a talent.
Sad news,
Jerry was briliant on guitar, there's plenty of Youtube video's showing his talent.
RIP Jerry
The guitar is all right John but you'll never make a living out of it! (John Lennon's Aunt Mimi)
A brilliant guitarist, a funny man, and an unforgettable entertainer!

What a shame. Sad loss.
Teamwork- A few harmless flakes working together can unleash an avalanche of destruction.
A favorite of mine as well. And not to dispute any of this, but the wiki link that gnease posted says that as of today (Sept 2) the rumor of Jerrry's death has not been confirmed.

JR - A great person and one of the finest picker on this earth ever.
I think he lived well and has left a lot of his music behind for people to remember him.
