The look is great! For some reason, it's loading REALLY slowly for me, if that doesn't clear up, I'll change it back and see if anything changes.

Finally found it. Wasn't 'skin', was under something else and I had it set for morpheus. I switched back to guitarnoise and now I can read everything.
We have a choice and this setting works for me, so all is well again. 8)
If it was easy it wouldn't be worth doing.

I can read all plenty fine, but i don't like the anoying ads cuase they take a long time to load and are anoying!!!

I really like the look, but the view previous and view next functions are missing and I use them a lot. Guess I'll stay old school for now.
One thing I just noticed is that the Google Ads are slowing this site down ALOT! It takes almost 30-40 seconds to load and that's on broadband...Also some ad from http://www.burstnet.com are showing in the status bar when I try to load GN...just FYI
Google Ads in general can slow a site down especially if it can't find any matching ads or if their servers act up...

Agree - both Google and Burstnet are causing a TREMENDOUS SLOWDOWN in how fast the pages load. It is really frustrating. I've had some pages not load at all while transferring data from "page2ads.googlesyndication.com" - I had to go completely out of the forums and then back in to get the pages to load. Similar problem with burstnet. :cry: :cry: :cry:

The rest of the site may be updated in the new year. All the feedback on the forum changes is very helpful in that regard.
I changed back to the old style. I tried the site at work with the new style, and sometimes I would get the google ads on the right side right next to the forums like usual, and sometimes they would be on the right, and I had to scroll down a page to find the forums. There was no rhyme or reason to it. I always have to scroll down a page at home. Old style works fine as usual. Too bad 'cause I like the new style. :cry:

I am sorry to be the bad guy here and I really do like the new format...
But these page2ads.googlesyndication.com ads are driving me up the wall. It never did this before. Loading GN in Fireox is at a crawl. I have Google ads on my site and its never that slow. I would re-do your coding from Google's AdSense page...something is definitely wrong with the coding..
I apologize if this posts upsets anyone...
i switched back to the old skin, because this one kind of sucks, but then the pages wouldn't load with the old skin, so i switched back. now, whenever i go to post history, the ads take up half the page.
You know, I'm beginning to not mind scrolling down past the ads....at least once you get to the forum page its ad free down here :wink:
