Is there ANYONE who doesn't love that Sax solo on "Baker Street?" Wasn't the only song he was famous for, though - "Stuck In The Middle" (open D tuning) and "Night Owl" are both in my repertoire and on my regular playlist, too.
RIP Gerry.

I heard it this morning. Sad news.
RIP
Didn't he win "Best Single" for "Baker Street" at the very first Brit Awards?
Sad to see him gone.

Very sad news...first time since Jeff Healey that I've heard about a musician going and thought 'Awww, no!'

One here Im afraid-no disrespect intended, I just really dont like saxophone solos.....dont know why, never have :? .
However, the song itself is terrific and the guitar solo in it is one of those which is so perfectly melodic it really couldnt be done any better. I like 'stuck in the middle' as well but always think of reservoir dogs when I hear it.....
