Hay gang, I just died and went to guitar heaven 8) 8) I just got back from a Savoy Brown concert at a small theater in York, South Carolina. (This is a small town of about 10,000 peaple ) The theater holds maybe 175 people. This is there 40th aniversary tour featuring Kim simmonds. Let me tell you that they can still ROCK  They did about 1 1/2 hours of great blues and hard boogie. If you get a chance to see them you should do it :!: :!: www.savoybrown.com

Are they still around? That's great news.

I used to go and listen to them at various blues clubs around East London in the late 60's.

Giving away my age now :)

[nostalgia strikes...............]

Regards,

Keith :)

Yea' I can remember learning to play "street corner talking" back around 1972 or so. We used to play the hell out of the main riff  . That was some good music back then(still is).-the dog 8) 8)

I got their "Looking In" album when I was 15 or so. (Still have it, actually.) Over the next couple years my friends and I wore that one thin, I actually had to buy a second copy. There is some great guitar work on that record, as well as one of the classic album covers with the dude in the jungle peeking into a vine-encrusted skull. They put out quite a bit of great stuff back then but that one was our favorite. Thanks for reminding me, I'll have to dig it out and try to learn some of those songs, as well as catch them if they come to town, which is quite likely, unless I missed it already. :D :D
