Happy Holidays
I wanted to revisit this thread now that the
Holiday Season is here to wish you all the
best. Some of you I've met some I've come to
know from the various forums and some
from your responses here. I consider you
all Friends in the truest sense of the word.
We will be have a quiet Christmas here because
we have already received our best gift.
Shaun is with us and doing well and Santa doesn't
give better than that.

It's been brought to my attention a couple of times in
the last few days that Shaun is still on peoples minds.
Well life is returning to normal. I find it amazing how
far he has come in just 6 months. I always had faith
that he would recover. I'm just never thought it would
be this complete this fast.
He his brother Jaden and Mom have found a nice place
to live that is just about halfway between our house and
our other daughter's. Shaun has returned to school full
time and had no trouble keeping up with his class.
He gets a little emotional at times but that was something
we were told to expect. It's mostly if he is reminded of
some of the limitations he still has. The doctors don't
want him using the playground equipment at school
because of the risk of re injury. When he is reminded of
this he gets very upset.
He still has some medical issues that will take years to
resolve as he grows. But all and all life is good and
improving all the time.
Mom's got a new job at a very nice organic foods restaurant
and the boys are settling into a routine that was missing
for awhile.
The neighborhood is still actively involved in improving
safety and some progress has been made in the ways of
signage and enforcement. So some good has come out of
this.
I will Thank You all once again even though it can never
be said enough.

Well it been a year since my grandson Shaun had his tragic
accident. It's amazing how 365 days can go by so fast.
I just want to give some closure to this thread and Thank
You All once again for the support and prayers.
Shaun is doing so well and life has been going well .
Tonight we had a party (not to mark the anniversary) my wife's
sister just happened to be visiting from South Carolina. It was
nice to relax with family and enjoy the good of this day instead of
remembering the bad.
So for the final time Thank You All from me and my family
and most of all from Shaun
