I don't think I could, if it was one of my family - I'd get as far as "This one's for Shaun, One, T...." and promptly burst into tears.....
Hope you're going to show him these posts, let him know how many people who don't even know him have been rooting for him....says something about the power of positive thinking, doesn't it!!!

That's already been done. I printed the thread and brought
them over to him when he was in Albany. I haven't updated
him though.
Don't know if i will play at the benefit but if I do I be playing

Would love to come to the benefit but I'm on duty at the hospital on Sun the 27th :( Let us know how it goes. Maybe Shaun could play some rhythm for the concert; a little tambourine or some of those shakers, something like that. Only if he wants to...

Hi
Only 2 more days until Shaun comes home and it will be
a busy week for him. First him Mom and little brother are
moving into a new apartment. Then Thanksgiving on
Thursday and on Sunday is a benefit for him with some of
the top area musicians and bands. (My daughter and her
friends are well connected to the local music scene)
So all is going well and life is returning to a somewhat
normal hectic pace around here.
Shaun has come a long why in a very short time.
He still has a ways to go and will be effected by
this for the rest of his life. But he will be back
with us soon and should be back in school by
the New Year. Shaun always was and still is a very
bright and intelligent young man. He has amazed
us all with the way he has handled all this at
such a young age.

Been following this whole thread, and I find it great that every post you make has better and better news. Only two days till his release date, I'm sure they'll pass like nothing.

We picked up Shaun today and brought him home
too his new place.
All is well and he is enjoying with his brother and cousin
