How about Wisconsin?

Come see the fall colors, or ski the slopes, or lounge around the lakes? Sample some better cheddar and numerous local beers?? Go cow tipping??

Close enough for folks from Chicagoland, Minneapolis, Iowa, Michigan....

I 2nd Wisconsin! South Central Wisconsin is only 1 1/2 hours from Chicago, and easy to get to from Madison, Rockford, Milwaukee, etc., and like Margaret mentioned, we have cheese & beer & lots of cows!

I'd be willing to buy you a brat and a beer if you come to Wisconsin.

I wanted to learn to play guitar really badly and I think that I have succeeded.

What? Brats not your fave? We eat other stuff too up here, like weinerschnitzel, kielbasa, kalberwurst, weisswurst. Sometimes we go international and have pepperoni or salami.

And we don't have to have cheese curds with the beer. We also have pretzels! :P

So come on up and join us, ya know you want to! :D

At a nearby county fair I saw deep fried Snickers and deep fried dill pickles, ya hey.

For some reason, I always pegged you for a Texan Margaret.

Now in Wisconsin, if someone were to say, "For some reason, I always pegged you as a Minnesotan", that just might be a (thinly) veiled jab. And if they were to say, "For some reason, I always pegged you as an Illinoisan," they've left no doubt.

So, an Oklahoman saying they thought me to be a Texan, hmmm......gotta ponder that one.

Or would that be an Oklahomite? Oklahomegian?

(J/K, all in jest, of course!)

Well, admittedly if we were talking football I dont care much for them. But other than that I love Texans. They stock some of the purtiest women down there. LOL

No, it's a little closer to heaven.

I wanted to learn to play guitar really badly and I think that I have succeeded.
