Well even though it wasn't my original intent, I got considered in with all the karaoke singers in the talent portion of the holiday festivities.
Go figure, I won $500 and two round trip tickets anywhere in the US.

Thanks all and it did go pretty well, I had one minor glitch on I'll be around when the audience started standing, singing and clapping along at a tempo not my choosing. So I just sang accapela for a couple of lines until I got with them.
