Have I mentioned how fun/frustrating this is when you don't have any soloing skills what-so-ever?
Skill? Nobody told me anything about Skill. :?

Doh! I'm the laggard. Sorry, I'm hurting for time these days.
The weekend at the latest. Promise.
:)
it is a busy time of year. no problemo.
update for my own sanity:
ya. team one is finished. I began mixing and cool things are happenin'.
team two has tracks sent by rparker , JoeHempel, and Kalle in Sweden.
No sanity is allowed. Of whom would we then laugh at and ridicule?
I can't wait, on a serious note, to hear what the rest of you all did. Same goes for that solstace jam on another channel. I have a couple things I tested and was admittedly releived to hear of this jam forming in it's place.

Mine's on its way, db.
I fussed over a couple of earlier versions and ended up not liking them, so I worked this one up today.
Warts and all, it's in the mail.

Why is it.....
When I'm noodling, and playing blues, I always sound better (to myself, anyway!) playing without a slide.....nice tone, nice vibrato, everything's spot on....
BUT.......
When I'm recording something, always sound better WITH a slide.....even if I haven't picked it up for weeks.
Very disappointed with my part on this jam, loved everyone else's parts.....sighhhhh....guess I'll never be a lead guitarist. Then again, I can live with that 'cause I don't think I've ever recorded a rhythm guitar part I've been dissatisfied with. Some people should stick to their strengths, and mine's playing rhythm!!!!
Then again - I could put some hard practise in......
:D :D :D

Vic,
I think you are being too hard on yourself, (aren't all guitarists that way? ). I really like your part, and was pleasantly surprised that you didn't use a slide, and still came up with some nice licks. Keep at it and cut yourself some slack. You rock! 8)

Yikes! Mine got spliced in 2 beats early. The turnaround is an especially horrific listen.
In case anyone's curious, I put the original on my soundclick page.
