Its pretty much to this arrangement.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQOF_XzsWz0
I will do the Bass guitar and lead guitar ( for the flute part). And find someone to do the 2nd vocal.

I have wanted to do this tune for 30 years or more. Some one please help :D

Hey Dog,

One of my favorite songs also. I could be up for the acoustic guitar
but not the vocals.

i play this capo'd at the 7th- D, Am, C, G, A5, etc.
it sounds pretty nice pick-strummed on my 12 string. i would need some help on the vocals tho, i can do it.
maybe it will force me to get my recording situation in order.
but if you have someone else in mind don't wait for me.

Why dont both you guys do the guitar parts, I will try to cut and paste and use both if I can. Try to match the tempo in the video, and play it with the capo on the 5th fret, I think it would be better to sing along with.
John, I do need you to do a spoken word intro for this. I'll send the script when I get off work in the morning.

thanks guys

John, I will need this read. I will start the song out with it. Just send me a mp3 file of it when youcan.

"There was three kings into the east,
Three kings both great and high,
And they hae sworn a solemn oath
John Barleycorn should die."

Once I get your guitar parts I will edit them together and build the track ariund it.

sorry guys, I'm bowling with 4 different kids in the National BPAA tournament in my zone and between coaching and competing over the next month I'm going to be way too busy to give this the attention i intended.
my son is competing in our states finals for the Pepsi challenge and I've got him and 3 other kids to bowl doubles with over the next 3 weeks in the BPAA.
I will try to devote some time if i can but between all this and homeschooling my kids i'm stretched really thin over the next month or so.
