Soundclick has recently switched to a flash player. At least you can still download free mp3 songs, but for those of us that don't have flash, can't get flash, and/or don't want flash...this is a major blow to that website's usability. I'm pretty upset that they would do that to my artist page without asking if I wanted it.

Time to find a new home...

thought I would vent....

I'm still going to post here...just using soundclick might not be a good option anymore.

That's pretty crappy of them. Makes me glad that it took too long to get my first track up there so I went to dmusic.

Our songs also have the standard pop format: Verse, chorus, verse, chorus, solo, bad solo. All in all, I think we sound like The Knack and the Bay City Rollers being molested by Black Flag and Black Sabbath.

And who can you thank for that?

J/K, now I know why I never got a good vibe from soundclick. I started with them, but got an eerie vibe, so I went to dmusic.com and was happy.

Of course, I have my own website now so I can eliminate them all.

It's true, you were the one that suggested dmusic and I appreciate it :)

Does dmusic require downloaders to have accounts?

Nope, and I just tested it to make sure.

To see for yourself, go to born2soon.dmusic.com and check the test file that I have up.

I'm just leaving it up there for a while though, since it's so far from being finished.

I use both, and don't see the problem. They provide a free service so be gratefull or just move on. Dmusic often has ultra-slow download speeds and now Soundclick has flash. So what. Shell out the cash and get your own site up to your preference or use the free options in whatever way they come.

I like soundclick because you have a lot more freedom to add and delete your music. Once you download a song on d-music its very hard to get them to delete it, or let you up grade a song. on sound click you can do this yourself with no problem. on the other hand, d-music lets you post cover tunes ( they have a licence for it). Soundclick also has creative commons copy right. I tend to post my songs on SC and covers on D-music. http://www.yousendit.com is a good way to go also. Many ways to skin a rabbit  --the dog
