Hi,
Thought I might try something a little different.
Time For Makin' Love is a set of lyrics I wrote
for SSG and found this Cm Jam Track that suited
them well.
I recorded my version which can be found
I was thinking of rerecording the solos but decided to
offer them up here instead.
So what I'm looking for is 3 or 4 Guest Performers to help
with this project.
Backing Track can be found
Part 1 would actually be broken up into 2 parts
so it could be split between two people if need be
but I thought everybody should have close to equal play time.
Part 1A intro / 0 - :26 (Saber) Done
Part 1B / 1:16 - 1:40 (Celt) Guitar Done/
Vocals Done
Part 2 / 2:05 - 2:55 (Dntalb) Done
Part 3 / 2:55 - 3: 44 (Smokindog) Done
The rest I will cover with vocals and some fills.
Any Takers ?
John

OK Dan You're in for part 2
John
Are you still doing this? I could try the intro. Would I just post the tab?

Saber,
This is still on and noyou don't have to post tab.
This is a recorded jam. You need to record and send
an MP3 of you part. Many of us use Audacity to do this
which is a free download.
There is a very good tutorial posted as the Sticky
"How To Participate In A Jam" at the top of this forum

I would love to have you join. If you take the Intro
I'll take part 1b or the other way around if you're game.
This is all in good fun and any questions you may have
can be adressed here or by PM.
Somebody is always willing to help.
John
Ok, I'll give it a read. It'll take a good few days though, because I'm only clocking in at about five month on the guitar now, but I'll have it in as soon as I can.

No Problem Saber
There is no time limit and I'm quite busy for the
next few week anyways.
I'll put you down for Intro and PM e-mail info.

No hurry, just take your time and learn the software. :D You can play and record your part over as many times as needed and even edit the good parts together  multi tracking is lots of fun--the dog
My part is in the mail :D
Dog,
Sounds Good to me!
Everything I expected and a little more.
John
Just as an update, I'm working on recording right now, but it's admittedly slow. This is the first I've worked with soloing, or even scales, so it's definitely education, but a lot of stuff to pull in.
Also I've had some problems with my wrist which have slowed me down, and made me stop completely for a little while, but I'm getting back into it now. My die hard goal is to get it in by the end of this month.
I'LL WORK DILIGENTLY!
And oh, geez, you should have heard how bad it sounded the first few weeks I tried to solo along with the track. Freaking Terrible. I could've frozen my recording and beat a cow to death with it!
anyways, back to work.

Have fun :D The best part about recording on a digital media is that you can edit out the bad notes, some times I will record a solo and I will go back and take out a few notes here and there and maybe add another part over it. The idea is to experiment and be creative with it. --the dog

Wow Dog, you are precise. Almost like a doctor doing localized surgery. Personally, I take out sections. Almost like a crazy doctor doing blind amputation.
Cant wait to hear the jam.
