I'm like Taso, I just play what sounds good to my ears :D I would do this in E since its a straight bar room boogie  I recorded my part with my Squier 51 tuned down 1/2 step (if you play in F it will actually be in E). This gives it a nice deep bluesy sound, (Think John Lee Hooker) 8)

Just a quick note that I finally got some time last night to sit down and start working out my bit. I've got a couple of busy evenings this week, but should be done by end of week. I know, I know, no rush. :)

Blech! I was down with the flu Wed-Fri. I finally began to feel mostly human again yesterday. I noodled around for a while today. I'll work on my part this week.

You did good 8)
According to Guitar Center "King of the Blues", it's in E.
I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?

In rock music you usually play major penta if the tune is major and minor penta if the tune is minor. In the blues it's different, you usually play a mixture of minor and major over a backing that's major. This mix of major and minor is what makes the blues the blues.

So in this case if it's E (say major) you would play the E maj pent and it's relative minor C#. Is this correct? If you played a Em pent, its relative would be the G major pent.
The major pent and its relative minor pent have exactly the same notes. The only difference is your starting note of the scale.
This is quite confusing to me.
I'm pretty sure one of the old Blues men back in the 60's said something like: "just slide it up and down the neck till it sounds good"
