I'm looking for an used acoustic-electric guitar and found these two guitars:

I'll go and give both of them a try but i've never played an acoustic electric and have no clue about their electronics. I think neither of them are solid tops. There is also another guitar but it's not an acoustic-electric though.

I know A&L guitars have a good reputation. I was wondering if i should pick that up and add a pickup later if required?

Any input would be appreciated.

I think with an A/E guitar you should plug it in to YOUR amp. I believe different amps will make them sound different.

For looks, that Washburn looks like a very nice guitar. I've heard of Alvarez but never seen or heard one so I can't say good or bad either way. I think the price points are good.

Have fun shopping for the right one.
