BG brought this 8 year old kid on stage with him friday night. BG said he was taking the kid out to Chicago to meet his friend Eric Clapton so EC could play with the kid at the Crossroads Festival. That's one kid who's got a pretty good story for 3rd grade when his teacher asks him what he did on his summer vacation.

I wanted to see Buddy Guy in Lowell on Friday, but I happen to be out of town on vacation. Boarding House Park in Lowell is a good outdoor venue for shows. I saw James Cotton there a couple years ago and I saw Little Feat last year.

I don't know. Normally those 'wonder talents' make me puke but I kinda liked this performance actually. Yeah, he was pretty off at times, espescially at the end but who cares. He's just eight years old and besides, at those points the entire backing was bass-guitar, maybe he couldn't hear it well enough to notice he was off. Anyway, hope he keeps enjoying it.
