I've heard that Carvin's are almost the exact same, except they come right from the factory so they are much cheaper. Does anyone have any experience with both that can clarify/ enforce this hear say?
Thanks
Tasocles.
I think PRS's are prettier though like BigAl's Pride and Joy. 8)

That is one of the most beautiful tops I've ever seen. Check out the thing that says "color selector" for other awesome options too.
If I ever wanted a PRS, I'd get the Carvin version. I have one of their AE185s and it's really well and nicely made.
Right now though, I'd rather Carvin made a Parlor-sized version of their Cobalt acoustics. :)
Hey a fellow 185er! :D I love mine.
Carvin makes rip offs of lots of popular models (strat, tele, LP) Getting it direct is the perk for not being able to play it first, although you can send it back w/o a problem if you don't like it. They are just as high quality as PRS (in my opinon anyway)
"Contrary to popular belief, Clapton is NOT God. The prospect that he is God probably had a large hand in driving him to drugs and booze. Thanks everyone."

And, if I ever wanted an electric 12-string? Yep, it would be the 185-12.
Great guitars, and lefty versions are N/A - which is great!
Matty, is that just an opinion like you said? Or is that simple fact?
I've been hearing goooooood things.
taso, my guitar teacher plays a carvin 727 & 747, and says there the best he has ever played, and says he"s played them all, one of them he had custom built by carvin and said it was 4,000$.
Aren't PRS very expensive? I've seen one Carvin and it was absolutely a beautiful guitar
Yeah they are, which is why if the Carvin's are just as good, but half the price, it would be wonderful.
