You may not like the style, but the Bryan May Red Special will get you some pretty good tones.
I'm a fan of Burns guitars, they're well made and are reasonably priced.
I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?

I SO want that guitar so bad! And it comes in lefty too. :D
For £289, you could get this - http://www.expressmusicstore.co.uk/products.asp?code=77569
Mahogany body, set neck, EMG pups, etc, etc. Oh, and a very cool GFX if you wanna rock.
Big thank you for you everyone for your input, I managed to find a shop that stocked both ESP and Ibanez amongst others so I could go a try a few.
I was cringing a little at the idea of playing in the middle of a shop, but they led me to a separate room and left me to it.
I really liked the ESP, although I had mentioned what my budget was and this was somewhat over, so they very kindly offered me a really good discount, so I'm now the proud owner of an ESP Kirk Hammett KH202 :D
it sounded excellent when I got it home, and looks very good on its stand :-)
Congrats!
Pics and soundclips (if possible) are a must.
:D
P.S. - Was it a FIFA 2010 discount?
Congrats! :D
