get one of these. It's a fun axe for dirt cheap, plays and sounds great. Case included.
One thing you can't see from the photos, the neck is painted white (probably to hide knots - I don't care). It looks like something Elvis would play in a church, it's sort of an SG in disguise.
dirts getting kinda expensive i guess

I must think about guitars.
Mmmmm.....guitars.
 I'm doomed, aint I?
Funny - I was looking at that very guitar the last couple of days, but I need an axe with a whammy bar - I just can't seem to play without one! :P
Nice guitar. Already has a history. 8)
Pretty fancy with a set neck too. :D

like a drunk in a midnight choir
I have tried in my way to be free.
That one was a "stupid deal of the day" at Musicians Friend not long ago. $149 I recall. It was very tempting!
Way TOO COOL.
It is a pretty cool and unique looking guitar. I'd looked at it a few weeks ago myself.

Hmmm, well now that I've spent more time with it...
It's made of lightweight wood and has a small body, which gives it terrible balance when you play standing up. If you take your left hand off it for an instant it'll take a nosedive. It doesn't interfere with playing but it is irritating. You can cut down on the problem by using a leather strap which grips to your shirt.
They could have fixed the problem by giving it a longer upper horn or attaching the strap behind the neck. I get the impression this model was originally released without much play testing, maybe there's a reason why the Wilshire faded into obscurity.
It works fine as a sit-down guitar though, and it sounds great. But there are a lot of other decent low-end guitars out there. You can pick up a pretty good Squire for less. (If you're just looking for something to thrash, nothing beats a bullet strat.)
ugly pickguard, too many knobs in odd places. i don't like it.
