A lot of threads appearing showing guitarists showing their chops. So let's make a thread of it your favourite guitarists in your favourite video. It doesn't have to be them doing anything hard, as long as it's your favourite guitarist, it's good.
Here's mine:
Gee that's a tough one, but the last one that really blew me away was Steve Lukather proving that "less is more"

I have many favorites depending on the genre, but when I was 12 years old I wanted to be Joe Strummer.
"Everybody got to elevate from the norm."
For guitar players it don't get much better than this
BB King, Eric Clapton, Albert Collins, Buddy Guy and Jeff Beck doing "Sweet Little Angel"
Immature? Of course I'm immature Einstein, I'm 50 and in a Rock and ROll band.

There's bound to be some great clips in this thread. Only watched OWA's so far, very interesting and different cut of Teen Spirit that I'd never heard before...
Here's my favourite:
Hendrix, Woodstock, Star Spangled Banner => Purple Haze. Nuff said. ;)

Here's one just for grins ...

"That’s what takes place when a song is written: You see something that isn’t there. Then you use your instrument to find it."
- John Frusciante
I saw Tommy play this about 16 years ago in a bar in Adelaide. He was followed by Keith Urban. When Keith came out people started leaving, and look where he is now.
Tommy is doing a show on Woodsongs on Feb 5th. Check it out.

Paul
I like this thread - good one OWA
OWA: do they really make that long straps
Tele: that's some line up  8) and solo guitar with a capo - that's unusual
tallcoolone:
Me? Favourite guitarist - that's a tricky one, but I keep coming back to Robbie Robertson. i was looking for the concert version of Unfaithful Servant from "Rock of Ages" but I didn't find it. So this one will have to do - Robbie and EC from "Last Waltz" - nothing spectacular here - standard blues - but I simply enjoy seeing how they're having a such good time. If you havent seen it it's worth a look - if you have seen it it's worth seing again
