Preston Reed?
I just discovered him through a friend of mine and wanted to share him with all of you! I think his guitar playing is amazing and inspiring! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81zrlL0xWGA

And then there's the late Michael Hedges.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jN3439l4HR0

Last, but by no means least, Carlos Vamos.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwm-vxGgFf4

They all blew me away! Hope y'all enjoy them as much as I do! :D

Why do I know the name Preston Reed? hmm..........isn't he a Brit acoustic guitarist who went all Nashville? Right guy? If so, I've only checked one tune so far, but mean to find out about him.

But I'm big on Michael Hedges!!! Also like Eric Roach, Antonio Forcione (ah, Antonio.... :P ), and a guy whose surname is Finger. No lie. Just wish I could remember his first name. German guy, with awesome intonation and sweet style. Peter Finger, that's it! Check him, he's hella good. Also, Thomas Leeb is kewl.

At one point after I found out about Michael Hedges, the only people I would listen to were solo acoustic guitarists of the unusual nature & preferably no vocals.
I used to listen to Michael Hedges, Preston Reed, Billy McLaughlin, Don Ross, Pierre Bensusan & Leo Kottke.
I got to see Reed right in front of me, Ross, a couple of tables in front of me & Kottke 2nd row. Reed & Ross really blew me away. Spoke with Reed & Ross....nice guys. I'd like to see Reed come back to America.

Reed is who Kaki King emulated.

Bensusan is very kewl. Whenever I hear him play, he makes me want to tune all my acoustics permanently to DADGAD. His youtube vids are very watchable, too. I like his style.

No. He's from New York originally, but I do believe that I read somewhere that he spent some time in Scotland. Here's his Wiki Bio.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Preston_Reed
