As an Irishman I should remind people of this:
"So Jimi, what's it like to be the best guitarist in the world?" Jimi: "I dunno, ask Rory Gallagher."
(Though it probably didn't happen.)
That Jimi Hendrix guitar picks mosaic is amazing, the 70s pop-art style is just right.

That's a half truth actually...... he said "ask Eric Clapton" - his idol.

Snopes thinks it never happened at all. If it did then it's been re-told so many times we'll probably never know who it actually was. He certainly respected Clapton though.
