I am listening to Paul NcCartney's new album Memory Full or sometjhing like that.
it is pretty lame. the songs wander around, lame topics..."Vintage Clothes" give me a break.
he tries to ressurect the sound from several Beatles albums, but falls short.
a droll album.
oh lord, he is whistling now.
I sure miss George.

Thanks, Dog. You gave me a great, out loud laugh! I don't like it either. Some people act like anything Paul McCartney puts out MUST be great, but the truth is (at least to me) - its very mediocre.
I only knew the single (Dance Tonight), VH1 is promoting it. It seems a funny video and music.
(BTW Kevin: thanks for your review, I didn't read the other thread.)

he is whistling. I want to throw a pie at him.
I've never really had a problem with whistling...Does your family have a history of whistling abuse? :P
Hey looks like my post has been deleted by the PC police for using the P word...or by a McCartney fan
"It's all about stickin it to the man!"
It's a long way to the top if you want to rock n roll!
the P word...
Paul?
"Everybody got to elevate from the norm."
I think that was it.

my father was McNeil Whistler :D
more than whistling, it is Paul's use of doo de doos and tra la las. it is a gimmick that does not work.he is a fantastic song writer. he could come up with words. that whistling stuff is laziness and not an effective musical ploy.
of course IMO.
Two of McCartney's biggest post-Beatles hits - Mary Had A Little Lamb and Rupert and the Frog Chorus. What the hell was he thinking? On the credit side, Junior's Farm, Jet, Band on The Run....
McCartney's a gemini - musically speaking, I think he's schizophrenic. Records like MHALL and Frog Chorus make we want to lock him in a padded room with Mull Of Kintyre and Pipes Of Peace playing over and over....LOUD.....
:D :D :D
