Beatles - Revolver
Creedence Clearwater Revival - Chronicle
Dylan - The Essential Dylan
Doors - The Best Of The Doors
Mott The Hoople - Mott
Nazareth - Razamanaz
Rolling Stones - Get Stoned
Roxy Music - The Early Years
Status Quo - XS All Areas (Greatest Hits)
Traveling Wilburys - Vol. 1
Who - Who's Next

So hard to prune it down to just 10! Couldn't I just have an extremely powerful digital radio? Or an acoustic guitar? Think of how many songs you'd be able to write with that kind of peace and quiet!

:D :D :D

The only one that I can say on a moments notice is the first "Will the Circle be Unbroken" by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, came out around 1970 or so, guess that kinda sez what music I'm into. The other nine will take a while to pick out :?

OK This is my turn: wow this is difficult!

Pet Sounds - Beach Boys
Abbey Road - Beatles
Forever Changes - Love
London Calling - The Clash
Minstrel in the Gallery - Jethro Tull
Stranded - Roxy Music
Moondance - Van Morrison
Selling England By the Pound- Genesis
Doc at the Radar Station - Captain Beefheart ( I need some madness in my island ;)
Pawn Hearts - Van der Graaf Generator

As you can see I didn't include any box set, or 'best of' or 'essential' compilations, in order to to make justice to original albums which are masterpieces to me.

A deserted island most certainly isn't going to have electricity so I'm going to take my acoustic/electric and all the strings and picks I can carry. I also need one tuning fork to make sure I keep the guitar in pitch.

Oh and some sun screen and these..... 8)

I thought about that. But - which Dylan album? I'd have a hard time picking one from Blood on The Tracks, Blonde on Blonde, Highway 61 Revisited or Bringing It All Back Home. Which Beatles? It came down to a choice between Revolver and Rubber Soul, I'd love to take both....Same with the Stones. Beggars Banquet? Sticky Fingers? Exiles? Let It Bleed? Now THAT was a toughie - in the end I settled for a best of.

No Elvis, Roy, Buddy or Chuck. No Slade or T.Rex. No Led Zep or AC/DC. No U2 or Springsteen.

Hell with it - I am never leaving my house again. No way am I risking being stranded!

In no particular order....

Sammy Hagar - Standing Hampton
Soundtrack from Holes
Scorpions - The Millennium Collection (best of collection)
Kansas - On The Other Side
TOTO - The Essential TOTO
Boston - Don't Look Back
Collective Soul - Youth
Ted Nugent - Great Gonzos (best of collection)
Emerson Drive - self-titled
Firehouse - self-titled
Jimmy Wayne - self-titled
Sugarland - Twice the Speed of Life

Uh oh, that's twelve. I'll cut a few songs and make it all fit onto 10 CDs.

Ask me again tomorrow and I might have some changes to make. :D
