I'm kinda partial to odd, funny t-shirts myself, like this heavy metal shirt, or perhaps something like this
I wrapped a newspaper ’round my head
So I looked like I was deep
"Normal clothes" on Sundays aka church attire: khakis or dressier pants with a polo T or plain button-down shirt. Our guitarists will sometimes wear sport coats, but I get way too warm for that.
;)
"Everybody got to elevate from the norm."
My normal clothes. Mind you, 'normal' is fairly relative. :D
Me goes for formal clothing. Shirt, trousers and a tie. And a guitar around my neck is all I need.
Thank You. Where is my personal dresser now ?
Jeans and a polo shirt.
I've dressed formal or T-shirt, but casual is best.
Call me a prep, but I usually prefer shorts/jeans and an oxford with the sleeves rolled up. Just my thing.

"If the moon were made of ribs, would you eat it?"
Mind you I haven't played in front of people that much and it has been a while, but my last official gig many years ago I believe I was wearing jeans, sneakers and a hooded sweat shirt. It was a little chilly and it was an outdoors party.

Normal clothes which for me is jeans and a tee shirt or polo shirt
sometimes a button down. If it's a somewhat special occasion I
step up the shirt a bit.I have a thing personally about not wearing
shorts on stage but if it's an outdoor gig on a very hot day I can be
known to slide on that one.
I love the "This Side Towards Audience" shirt.
I may have to order one of those.
I don't play gigs (yet (he said hopefully!!!!)) but when I'm jamming, I always wear the same things - t-shirt, jeans, trainers. If it's cold I'll wear a zip-up fleece amd probably take it off after a couple of songs.
:D :D :D

I try to dress nice, normal clothes that are clean and not worn out. I like to dress in black especially, I always liked that look that Johnny Cash and Roy Orbison had going. Black suits me anyway. You can see in my avatar I am wearing all black.
I will wear a cowboy hat on occasion. I think it looks kinda fun. :D
A few years back I was in a band that played real heavy downtuned music, our crowd was younger people. We wore makeup a few times, a very strange experience for me. I am not into makeup, tattoos, earrings, etc... One gig our singer wanted us to wear makeup, I just stuck my hands in this black makeup and drew straight lines down my face. I probably looked like a zebra.
I would wear a cool band T shirt for sure, like AC/DC.
If you know something better than Rock and Roll, I'd like to hear it - Jerry Lee Lewis
I always leaned towards T-Shirts and jeans myself. However, the venue and the music may call for something a little less formal than a T-Shirt
I have a lot of favorite t-shirts most of which I can't post here but one of the top ones was something like
"I am the one your mother warned you about"
Oh yeah, and like Wes I prefer black.

Now that is something we NEED pictures of!!!
For me it's usually a sleeveless t-shirt with a vest and pair of jeans boots and a silk bandana instead of a cotton one
Immature? Of course I'm immature Einstein, I'm 50 and in a Rock and ROll band.

formal for me...let me define formal. black tight jeans, black cowboy boots, my favorite Rev 105 radio (vintage) t shirt and a black button down shirt over that. the shirt is open with the sleeves turned up.
black for me. with a touch of red.
