Hi,

I don't know which to go for here.

Should i go for the EG220SC at £269.00 or save up that little bit extra and go for EG501S?

What does everyone think i should do. is the EG501S going to be a lot better for the extra money?

Cheers,
Adam

the EG220SC is a cutaway jumbo style while the EG501S is an OM or orchestra model style body.

either should be easy to play but will have slightly different qualitys.
they are either rosewood or mahogany laminate bodys so they will behave pretty similar.

also they have very different electronics, the tp4 is a simple 3 band EQ with gain control

the TK40 has the 3 band EQ, a built in chromatic tuner, EQ bypass, mid contour, and a notch filter system to help fight feedback. clearly this is a much superior preamp

Tak electronics allow quite a bit of EQ tweaking so you should be able to get the tone you are looking for.

imo these guitars will sound quite different unplugged and really come to life thru a nice acoustic amp.
the higher up the cost ladder you go with the Taks i tried presented a mucjh better sound unplugged versus the lower end models.
