I thought I'd take a few moments to post a few thoughts on Ani DiFranco because I love her so. I find her guitar playing to be among the most expressive I've ever heard. Her percussive style is so unique it shatters the boundaries of traditional fingerpicking. Her lyrics are wonderful and I consider her one of the best songwriters alive. Her use of language is just unparalleled and the imagery and metaphors are stunning. Wonderful music.

Does anyone else have thoughts to add?

I like her. Out of Habit, and her cover of When Doves Cry are my two favourites, but then again I haven't heard a lot of her. The art teacher at my school, who I'm pretty good friends with, loves her dearly. She sings/plays quite like her also.

Vacate is the word...Vengance has no place on me or her...Cannot find a comfort in this world.

She's also a great study for anyone interested in alternate tunings. There used to be a webpage dedicated to her tunings and tabs. I think it was called "AniTabs." Don't know if it's still around...

Peace
