A short story of a righty who became a lefty player.

i stumbled across this on another blog i frequent:
http://maggiesfarm.anotherdotcom.com/
So, i thought maybe we had some similar tales here.
Anyone care to share their journey?
What made you quit, or give it up, and then start again?

The first link's story was well written . . .
The second link was more of a political blog . . . which I enjoyed scanning . . .
No similar tale . . . just the average Joe learning how to play a guitar . . . well, I did mangle a finger in a wood chipper but it wasn't on my fretting hand . . . and due to reconstructive surgery it's functioning . . . slightly deformed but functioning.
It's the rock that gives the stream its music . . . and the stream that gives the rock its roll.

i was just giving credit to the blog where i discovered the story. it was from a frequent contributor to the site. his link is on the side panel under "medical rants/DB's Medical Rants" sorry about the strong conservative slant, i wasn't trying to make a statement or anything as i read quite a bit of Liberal stuff as well.
anyhoo, i think sharing how we overcome obstacles is very important, and can help others in similar situations.
thanks.
