Ghost that tune actually isn't that bad,rap lyrics couldn't kill that riff,i'll bet you could rock the house doing that with an accordian.

I liked Run DMC "Walk this way", and it was a cool video too :D I have been getting messages from a lot of rapers on my sound click site lately( some I deleted cause every other word was the "F" word) and they don't seem to be "Mass messages" but each one seems to be an individual message :?: I guess I'm just a nice guy :lol: :lol: :lol: --the rap doggy dogg

Actually, lefty is a pretty cool guy 8) , and I Know for a fact that he is pretty open minded , he just don't dig rap that much ( I don't dig it that much myself for that matter). Rap is just not everyones cup of tea :wink: I can't stand Heavy Opera myself, it don't mean I'm closed minded, I just don't like Opera :D--the dog

Kashmir rocks and that can never be taken away yes, but I still say no to Puff Daddy. It didn't work like it did for Run D.M.C./Aerosmith or Anthrax/Public Enemy, those are cool songs.

My heavy opera is "Night At The Opera"~Queen but I refuse to put anyone's music down for the fact they have a statement to make.I don't have to like it but through osmosis I've learned things I bet I don't know about,RUNDMC did an awesome remake of "Walk This Way" which was stated by Smokindog and the video is fun.Imho I think it can be stunting if you don't learn from others whether it be music or food or life in general.

No apology needed, i'm a cranky ol'fa*t and i can be pretty opinionated.

However in my defense i will note that i have extremely eclectic tastes in music compared to most people.
I also respect the Rap genre and appreciate quite a few individual examples of colaborations with Rock artists, but having said that i despise all that steal (yes steal) "samples" (bs term imho) just so their crappy nonsence wanna be rhyme can have a "hook" that people will recognise.
The examples i would use of this are usually if not always about violence, drugs, disrespect to Women, or sex if not all four.

I also agree that the Run DMC colaboration is a great example of how it can work while both showing respect for who actually wrote the song and creating something new that stands on it's own at the same time.

All MTV and radio type rap and hip hop sucks and everyone knows it. Most MTV rock sucks as well. You want some good hip hop? Stuff thats not about big companies making money? Check out the underground scene. My fave: the Hieroglyphics crew, Immortal Technique, (of course Tupac) Living Legends, and Visionaries.

Tupac is awsume, his raw lyrics....so much better than eminem :x what a headache, ear bleed, suicide...
