I have never been a big fan of Shred guitar, but I ran across this guy on YouTube. This guy is amazing.

I hate shredding but this kids style of shredding is really great, I mean...really, really great.
The only better shredder I've heard is Buckethead and I've tested listening to a lot of shredders.

This guy's older than he looks (he's pushing 30 now), and was a classically trained viola player for years. He teaches in Brazil.
I'm curious: he's got other vids using other guitars. In this one he's got a standard SSS strat (albeit with scalloped fretboard.) The sound is VERY different. Is that what makes this particular tune more palatable to some of you?

Also, don't confuse playing ability with compositional skills. This guy is a great player, no doubt. But he's not in the same league as Buckethead, Gilbert, Satriani, Petrucci, Vai, etc.

He's definitely one of my fav youtubers. All of his vids are great. That eight finger tapping thing is insane. Especially that harmonized stuff that he does. :shock:
