I saw the post about the GFS pickups and did an eBay search and saw these Xaviere Guitars. I checked Harmony Central but there weren't any reviews on this model. But the reviews for other models looked good.
Now I know I could probably get a Fender Standard Tele for a bit more but it still wouldn't be an "American". Plus I did like the finish on this model. Has anyone heard of or experienced these guitars?
Thanks
I don't have any experience with these guitars at all, but I must say I do like the finish as well.

No experience - but the idea of a Tele with a poplar body and a flamed maple top is fascinating. The Wilkinson hardware and GFS pickups are top-notch, and the choice of a rosewood fingerboard is totally appropriate. This should sound just gorgeous - help, I've got itchy fingers!!! 8)
They're pretty neat looking I think. I've never known anybody with one, but if I had the money, I'd love to be able to try one out. I agree with what PVTele said, it sounds like a good guitar at least.

Tough call... I think they are made in Korea... I would assume they would be on par with Rondo music equipment.
I will note that I have used GF for pickups and bridges, and they have all been as advertised and pretty high-quality. If you are thinking about the Tele for $320, here is the Agile version...

Thanks Dali, I have been considering the Agiles for some time but they never had the color I wanted (cream or sunburst) or I didn't have the money. I just noticed they have the cream in stock now. However I do like the color options of the Xaviere guitars.

I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?

According to a review in Vintage Guitar magazine, (I haven't seen it, just saw it mentioned in a web forum):
setup/action was good out of the box... Slim taper neck, nicely polished/dressed frets - bump free.. plastic nut cut with proper radius.. fairly low action/no buzz.. neck straight and level and fast.. pickups not as beefy as a LP or PRS but solid... Plays effortlessly and an outstanding value.
Wondering where the Xaviere designs come from? Check this out: http://www.zemaitis.net/
Funny how they totally ripped off the headstock, truss cover and metal logo plate.

I know... but look at this... For $329?? Are you kidding?

For those of you in the "know" - what would a similar equipped Ibanez go for? I know the Hamer semi-hollow archtops go for about $350 even used and they don't have half the looks.

By the way, Mike, you should check out the Greg Bennett Samick Teles... they have similar feature to the Xaviere guitar, but you can get an even better deal on it used...
I think the series is the "Formula" series, with this one being the FA2. If you hunt around on Ebay you can get one with a hardcase in great condition for $240 or so...

Wow! That's pretty!

That is SWEET! I wonder how the OE30's compare to these? I am assuming these are much better.

I have a search set up in eBay to email me on Samick & Greg Bennett. I heard they were nice!
Thanks for the information on the tele. I'll keep my eyes open.
I'm dangerously close to ordering this
Go for it!
I got my issue of Guitar One the other day and there is a review of the new line of Zemaitus guitars and Slejhamer is right on... this guitar brand has TOTALLY ripped off Zemaitus. Almost to the point of one of the following:
#1, they reached an agreement with Zemaitus to use the design
#2, they did NOT reach an agreement, and these will be eventually changed (in other words, buy one now!)

You're a bad influence.
I'm waiting to see if it still seems like a good idea tomorrow before I buy. I suspect it will.
