Hi guys,
I've been playing the guitar for over nine years now and I am still terrible.
The problem is that I have always played "with" the guitar (as opposed to playing it) for my own amusement and interest.
I find that I tend to go through phases where I play regularly and progress quite well before packing it in and ignoring it for another year or so.
While this has been fine for me till now, I think it's time to take it seriously.
Ok, Ok, it was time to take it seriously about 8 years ago.

What I'm looking for is a good instructional DVD for acoustic guitar that covers not only playing but less "Glamorous" stuff like music theory, correct technique and practice drills etc.
Intermediate level would be good.

So there it is, got any ideas?
I don't want to have to give up after this long.

S.

IMO this is a great system, method, whatever you want to call it, for people like myself that have learned chords and a few scales but never really dove into the theory to support it.

what i mean is, it is helping me tie things together in a way that (for me) is making it much easier to bridge that void that has probably held me back from being a better guitarist.
i will probably never be more than a hobbyist, but i can see the possibility that in the not too distant future i will start seeking out local people to jam with.

The following DVD is really good. You have reviews of scales, arpeggios and licks in differente styles for acoustic.I have it and it's highly recommended. And the price is quite affordable.
